Horario raro…

Hey Guys!!!! Hows the summer vacation going???? Its sounds like youve been here and there doing so many things at once, but hey, that just keeps life fun! It was hot here yesterday as if it was summer, but today it is FREEZING COLD!!!!
Well, we have had a weird schedule lately… like we had Pday yesterday, but we didnt write until today and then we have pday NEXT WEDNESDAY (did you get that, PDAY IS NEXT WEDNESDAY!!!) I doubt that all of this is permanent. It has to do with that Presidente BArreiros goes home this friday, which is super sad. He is an incredible President and we will al miss him a ton. But, President Woodward gets here this friday! So i imagine that we will have a metting with him on monday or tuesday and that is why everything is different, but oh well, like we say here; Hay que trabajar no más!
Well this week my comp and I have seen lots of miracles!! Last monday we were contacting and we passed by a mans house right as he opened his door. So we started to talk to him and jokingly i said “you opened your door for us, right?” and he saud “do you want to come in?” and ,y comp and i looked at each other and said “Sipo!” and he we had an amazing lesson with him!! He has a daughter with a few mental disorders and he knows that she is an angel, so we shared the Plan of Salvation with him and it was awesome!! We passed by again last night and he was super excited to see us!
ANother funny thing like that was we were in another alley thingy and we were knocking on doors (there are doors to knock here, it is sooooo awesome!) and we knocked on a door and a womans voice said “Come in!” so we looked at each other again and then just opened the door and walked in (after we heard a mans voice inside) jajaja and a woman was like “hey, weve talked to misionaries before!!” So unfortunatly they were about to eat and we couldnt share anything, but we are going to pass by again!!
Perhaps the greatest miracle of the week was monday night. We had 3 investigadoes that went to church and we planned a super good lesson with them (a dad and two of his kids) to talk about the need of being baptized again so that we can return and live with God. Well, we planned the lesson, showed up, testified, and the 3 accepted to be baptized on the 9th of July!!! It was such an awesome lesson where the Spirit truely guided us and i felt the Spirit testifying to them that what we were saying is true! It was amazing to be able to help them realize that God´s authority is on the earth again!

A Wild Week!!

HEY Hey HEY!!!!!! Hows the good, hot california/utah life going for you guys??? It sounds like everyone is riding a bike and everyone is getting married, so im missing a lot, but oh well, jajajaja
Well, all is nice and cold down here in Santiago, Chile!!!! There is lots of snow on the mountains and i often find myself singing Christmas music even though its June….. the cold is playing tricks on me…. Que tramposo…..
Well this week was very interesting!!! We have been working hard and taling to lots of people, but this week we didnt find too many new investigadores, but the ones that we have are progressing (perhaps a little slower than we would like, but thats ok) Unfortunatly, nobody came to church this week. We had passed by with members and every investigador was ready to go to church and members were going to pass by to take them to church and then one by one they all called us telling us that their children got sick………
We had a few super funny experiences this week! So we were walking in a part of Santiago trying to find a house when a drunk man came up to us and said “I was about to punch you guys, but I have a question” and started blabbling for about 10 minutes about something (i dont remember what it was) and after a while my comp says (in english) “just remember, im a goofy goober, my comps a goofy goober, and we are all goofy goobers” and the guy was just like “hey, youre talking in english to me” and my comp and i gave him a terjeta of Jesus and told him to call this number…. so yeah, sometimes weird stuff happens in Chile….
Something funny we have been doing is, well here in Chile, the people live in “piezas” its like a huge hall with different rooms and the people rent out the rooms (and they are always poor and dirty and its sad to see the people live like this) but anyways, they are always locked, but what we do is contact around the house and wait until somebody is leaving or entering and we say “permiso” (in Chile, you say permiso before you do ANYTHING) and just enter into the house and the people always look at us and usually ask “what are you doing” and we say “we are going to visit your neighbor” and then they shrug and move on with their lives, but yeah… its pretty funny!

IT’S ALREADY HALFTIME!!!!!

WWWWOOOOOWWWWWWW I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT ONE YEAR HAS ALREADY PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is literally CRAZY!!!! I dont even like thinking about it, so lets just not talk about it….
Well, Im glad to hear the summer is here!! o mejor dicho, there!!!! Please box up a little and send it down here because it is getting COLD!!!!!!! But i do have my snuggy one sy pijama thing that RULES!!!!!
Well, things are well here!!!! We are just working hard and talking to everyone that we can (sometimes to the dogs but they usually dont respond…..) and we try and talk to the haitians so i can practice my haitian. Mwen pále piti piti, mewn vlé pále cweyol!!! So that is always interesting!!!
Well, this week was fun!! It has been interesting because we have been passing by all of our investigadores on the same day, i dont know why but it has just worked out that way. So we have like, had lesson all one say, then we have cotnacted all one day, and yeah, but the Lord keeps blessing us!!!! This sector is different because te majority of the men get home at like 7 or 8 so if we pass by families, we can oly visit like 2 or 3, but oh well, we try our best!!!
And well, a super cool story!!!! My comp and I have really tried to improve our planing in the night, weekly planning, and planning the lessons. So we ave seen lots of results. We were in a lesson that we had planned really well ad we didnt feel the spirit too strong, so we were prompted to start to teach about the spirit (not part of the plan) and we id it!!! Well, the spirit came into the room and the actitud of the a¿investigadores chagned completely and they had a lot more interest in the message! So that was a huge testimony builder for my comp and i about the importance of planning!

SANTIAGO!!!!!!!

Buena, buena!!!!! (if you say it with lots of energy, you sound really chilean!)
Hows life going in the good ol USA?? WIth lots of heat, right??? So yeah, i got transfered last week and my sector is AMAZING!!!!!!!! So i am no in the heart of Santiago with lots of big apartment buildings with security gueards that dont want to let us contact inside so we just talk to everything that moves (well, all the people that move) jajaja there are also tons of people from Peru and Colombia that are here and lots of people from HAiti (i will now be learning their language!) So yeah there is TONS of work to do and the Lord has already blessed us a ton!!!
So my comp is Elder Taylor from Arizona and has a whoppin 5 months in the mission but is INCREDIBLE!! HE speaks really good spanish and want to work super hard, so we get along super well!!!
Well, we have been contacting all week because my comp baptized their investigadores the weekend before i got here, and the Lord has truely blessed us! So in this part of the city, the people live in piezas, or like houses with big rooms and the rent rooms to familes (they are small and poor and its sad, but the people are happy!) so lots of them are extranjeros!!! They other day, we contacted an investigadora in her pieza and she told us that there were lots of kids in her room so it was super noisy and would be better that we passed by another day. We were about to leave when a kid that lived in another pieza said “hey, my parents want to talk with you guys in our room” so we went there and found a family from Perú that has had some problems in their life and they want to come closer to God!! Such a miracle!!! So thwy couldnt go to church because the had to either vote on sunday or recieve a fine.
Another miracle was we were contacting in a street (we talk to like 50 people in the street everyday!) and we talked with another woman from Perú and she gave us her direcion!!! So we passed by with a member that lives close by and she told us in the lesson that she is confused with the other religions and just wants to find the truth! My comp and I were sooo stoked to see such a big miracle!!! So she couldnt come to church either because she had to vote…… but we are going to pass by again tomorrow!!!
AND we found another investigador from Perú (did i mention that there are lots of people from Perú in our sector?) that hasnt been baptized in any churches and wants to be saved, so we have been massivly blessed by the Lord to find lots of good investigadores!!!
Well, something cool i have been studying is repentance, like repentance in general. I think that REpentance is my favorite part of the Gospel!! And i was just reading scriptures about repentance and i thought about how much our Heavenly Father loves us. Like, He knew perfectly than none of us would be able to return and live with Him, so he gave us repentance to be able to change and be worhty to enter into His presence again!!! I just am so grateful for the oportunity gratis that our Heavenly Father has given us.
